How far along are you? 18 weeks (October 21- October 27)
What’s new with baby this week? Baby is the size of a sweet potato and is now yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking, and swallowing . . . and I can feel it!
How much are you showing this week? These scrubs are feeling a bit tighter
How are you feeling? I’ve felt good all week. Yesterday, I came home from school straight exhausted, but my sweet husband let me take a nap while he took Tylee to buy groceries. He is the best!!!
Any new pregnancy symptoms? I feel like I’m running out of bending room faster this time around. This week when I was trying to nurse Tylee, if I had just eaten, there was no way to do it comfortably. We’ve got a lot of belly expansion in our future, so we’ll have to figure something out pretty quickly!
Sleep? Still good! Not always enough of it, but the sleep that I have been getting is solid. I haven’t had all the joint issues that I had when I was pregnant with Tylee (or maybe I’m just used to it!)
Miss anything? Just family that’s far away
Movement? Movement is getting stronger and more frequent! Jonathan got to feel the baby move a lot this week!
Food cravings? I’ve been wanting Natalie’s bbq chicken with Jonathan’s mashed potatoes for a while now . . . and she’s cooking that on Wednesday night for the church!!
Anything making you queasy or sick? My tummy felt a little queasy earlier in the week, but I don’t think anything in particular triggered it.
Pregnancy brain? I lose my train of thought when I am telling stories and I get distracted and when that happens, it’s really hard to get myself together again!
Belly button in or out? In–mostly!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Do you think you’re having a boy or a girl? Oh, I don’t know! But I’m so excited either way!
Worst moment this week? The first day of week 18 was the one year anniversary of the last day I saw my mom. If you missed that blog, you can read it here.
Best moment this week? Jonathan’s mom came to visit and stayed with us all weekend, so it was fun to see her play with Tylee. Sunday was also a good day all together. I got to go to Life Point with Natalie and then to their fall festival (Tylee dressed up as Mike Wazowski and was the cutest ever!) and when Jonathan got home from the flea market, we went on another adventure with the Smiths and he told us all about how God provided for us through some vendors at the flea market!
Happy or moody most of the time? About even. We had some good days and some bad days.
Looking forward to anything? We find out baby’s gender on Thursday and go to see my family in Texas on Halloween! Ahhh!
Updates from Daddy or big sister Tylee? Daddy and I are trying to settle on a middle name for a girl and are not-so-patiently waiting to find out the gender. Tylee is being SO talkative lately and has definitely nailed the sounds “da-da” this week. We think she miiiiight know what she’s saying, but she hasn’t quite proven that just yet. “da da da da ya ya ya la ah da eee ee ahh da” has been my favorite tune all week. Love that little one!
